Article Description

The principle of this acoustic system is to repel birds away from the areas to be protected by imitating their natural enemies.

It functions by playing six different sounds for 10 seconds in random order.

A frequency range of 300 to 4000 Hz is achieved. This is optimised specifically for the range of audibility of birds and mammals. Up to 120 db is measured at a distance of one metre from the speaker in the direction of the speaker.

The raptor system is specifically designed to repel birds or wild animals away from agricultural or industrial areas.

Raptor R28 and R31

The R 31 is perfect for smaller areas. It's also characterised by a good directionality, which means that the volume in the direction of the speaker is very loud, however the volume is much quieter from the sides and rear of the speaker. This allows specific areas to be targeted and prevents the sound from travelling into surrounding areas.
The R 31 can be easily combined with noise protection barriers.

Also with reduced functionality as a cost-effective entry-level model R 28 available (no random interval, 6 sounds)

Settings
The interval between the individual sounds (between 1 and 30 minutes) can be easily changed. Also, the volume can be adjusted if necessary.

Power source
The devices are powered by rechargeable 12-volt batteries (e.g., a car battery with at least 36 Ah). The battery is not included in the delivery.

HP-Filter
The devices have “High-Pass Filters”. If necessary, this can be used to reduce the sound burden by filtering out deep, wide-reaching frequencies.

Night-and-day regulation
At sunset, the device automatically shuts off. The start time is adjustable: Sunrise at 6:15, 7:00 or 7:45 a.m.

Sound-chip:

  • R31: this chip uses exclusively natural bird-sounds, therefore its optimal near residential areas. (scrub-jay call, owl call, falcon call, osprey call, hawk call 1, crow warning call, starling warning call 2, tawny-owl call)
  • R28: 6 sounds (scrub jay, buzzard, 3 x different hawks, starling)

Raptor R35v2 and R35solar

The R35 designed for large areas. The device covers a broad area with both loudspeakers. This model is only conditionally applicable near residential areas. To achieve directionality similar to that of the R31 or R42, the speakers can be installed parallel to each other (or set at a desired angle).

Raptor R 42

Thanks to the high-power amplifier, the RAPTOR R42 has a very wide acoustic range (similar to the R35). This model also has excellent directionality, and allows for easy targeting of specific areas. Therefore, the R42 can be used at a lower volume near residential areas. The R42can be easily combined with noise protection barriers.

Raptor R 56 remote

The RAPTOR remote offers operator-activated acoustic bird control that is perfectly adjusted for each individual situation. Through needs-oriented activation of sound, the effectiveness is dramatically increased and noise control is also improved since the device is activated much less frequently.
Additionally, automatic operation modes are also available to use if the operator is not present.
The RAPTOR R56 remote has a very large acoustic range due to the high power amplifier and two large horn speakers. These can be installed any angle. The design is very robust, with a sealed aluminium casing for the electronic components.

                  


Automatic operation
The R56 remote offers two automatic modes, in addition to the user-activated function:
"Slow automatic": Automatic operation from morning to evening (Four starting times)
"Fast Automatic": Automatic operation initiated by remote signal

Raptor R 56 solar

The R56 is an extremely powerful device with a high power amplifier and two large horn speakers. The loudspeakers can be set at any desired angle. The construction is very robust with sealed aluminium casing for the electronic components. Due to the volume level, this model should not be used near residential areas. The high power of the device naturally indicates higher energy consumption, and the automatically operated R56 is therefore equipped with 6W or 20W solar power capability. This charges the 12V battery and significantly reduces the recharging burden.The R56 can also be delivered in various configurations.
